Walnut Digital designed and built the Indian Inherited Metabolic Disorders Registry end to end: the iOS and Android capture apps, the adjudication portal for the Database Oversight Committee, the backend, and the public information site. Built for the Lysosomal Storage Disorders Support Society and published on the App Store and Google Play.

Structured capture, finished inside the consultation.

Controlled choice wherever a choice exists. Gender, disorder and both dates are pickers, not text fields. Free text is the exception, which is the entire reason the data is still analysable years later.
Evidence attached at the point of entry. The confirmatory testing report is captured by camera or file picker on the same screen, so adjudication reviews evidence rather than an assertion.
A searchable list of 500+ disorders. The clinician finds "Gaucher disease type 1" and selects it, instead of four people spelling it four different ways across three hospitals.
Required fields marked, and enforced. The form cannot be submitted incomplete: completeness is a property of the record rather than a report produced later.

Nothing enters the registry without adjudication.

Every record is reviewed before it counts. Submitted, then approved or rejected by the Database Oversight Committee. Rejections carry a stated reason and can be corrected and resubmitted, so the submitting clinician always knows where their record stands.
Possible duplicates surfaced, never auto-rejected. Flagged at creation on gender, disorder, date of birth, state and initials, and shown to the reviewer. The machine finds candidates; a human decides.
Identifiers separated from diagnostic data. PII is stored apart from the clinical record, and exports can be taken with or without it.
Every export is reasoned, logged and notified. A download requires a stated reason, emails the full committee, and appears in a dashboard log.
